A piece of work created specifically for TOMS Art of Giving exhibition at Whitespace Gallery in Edinburgh, January 2013. The remit was to use a pair of TOMS shoes and sunglasses to make some work expressing ‘what giving means to me’. Alongside the commissioned piece, I exhibited Manta.

Artists Statement for the exhibition

‘What Giving Means to Me’
To look after the people around me. To do what I can for people who need help. To see the individual behind the product. To realise someone’s hands have made all that I use, and buy, and discard. That there is always a face behind the making.
